#3... you need to let it do it's start after install, then close it, then run activation.. worked for me.
Tried it but uninstalled... only two formats are supported avi, which is, to me, lossy and mov, which is limited to Windows movie maker. Sound files also seemed limited in choices. Good but needs more choices.
I had a previous version; started it to see if this was an update, and realized the previous was in trial/expired status. Uninstalled it, installed and activated today's GOTD new one; when the program starts, it says it is an expired trial.
This is not a bad app but, in my humble view, for 100 BUCKS it should support more than just two formats (avi & mov).
Better FREE ALTERNATIVES are worth try:

Activation program isn't working for me either.
When I try to launch the program I'm greeted by a screen telling me that the trial period has expired, yet when I run the activate.exe file included in the download it reports that the software was successfully activated (which is clearly not the case).
I hope this problem will be fixed quickly. It seems that registration issues like this are a pretty common problem with the titles being given away here, and my hopes have been frequently dashed when I thought I would receive a very useful software only to find out that I can't register it - and nobody responds to my reports about the problem before the giveaway period ends. I hope I'm able to receive a response before THIS giveaway expires.
(Does anybody even TEST this stuff before turning it loose to US?)
BTW - I'm running Win XP SP3 with 2GB RAM.
