You can install it portable, if you choose for a usb stick installation. It is a 32 bit application. You have to register your mail address once.
My default application for storing passwords etc is Sticky Password. That has an iOS app, so I can read all my passwords on my iPhone. Great. The giveaway does not support iOS (yet?).
I found one bug: you can install it either in English or German. But when you start the portable version, it is in German. You can change the language via Settings (see the gear icon). There is a typo/translation error: synchronsation. I see that error three times in Settings. In German it is spelled correctly.
In the folder locales I see a lot of other languages. But it is not clear to me how to use them. Simply renaming de.pak to de_old.pak and nl.pak to de.pak does not lead to a Dutch version under the name of German.

Keydepot install well but has one major flaw: It has no interface for importing CSV files from other programs. One page on their website claims there is a "Tools" menu that allows this feature but on this version given away today, no such menu exists. Such a critical feature for modern computer users who most likely already have a password manager with dozens to hundreds of stored passwords and wish to try out Keydepot. Major screwup somehow by Abelssoft. Please fix or post on GOTD a solution to this import issue. Thank you.

I installed the program, started it, selected new user login. I entered my email and a masterpassword, pressed done, and the circular "working" icon keeps turning. Nothings happening.
