I have a question : What happens after one year ?
Is it only the updates that stop coming nut the program carries on as is ---
Or is the whole program only active for 1 year, and then gets 'deactivated' ?

Computing dates can be very complex. This software seems OK until you want to be precise.
A date can be represented as an array = (year, month, day, hour, minute, second). But it is not enough.
A date should also contain information about TZ (Time Zone) and DST (Daylight Saving Time). People living in Russia have to deal with 11 time zones. You may have noticed some Windows updates because a guy in some country decided a change in DST (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daylight_saving_time_by_country).
And then, there is Microsoft.
On Windows, dates are computed from January 1st, 1601. In nanoseconds or microseconds as explained in msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa910711.
And then, there is Microsoft Excel.
It is well known that Excel has 2 ways of computing dates, of which one has a serious bug (I let you find which one).
So, a date represented by a number of seconds (for micro and nano divide by 1000 and 1000000 respectively) may start on 1601-01-01, 1970-01-01, 1900-01-01, 1904-01-01, or even 1980-01-01 (I let you find out what that date is). All notations in partial (omitting the time) ISO format : YYYY-MM-DD.
Apparently, in this software you cannot just throw any number, say 32821 or 626572800 or 2447839.500000 or 995253.500000 (hints : all values refer to the same day, and see aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/JulianDate.php), and ask for a conversion.
And then, there are calendars. Well, that is another story. Most used calendars nowadays include: Gregorian, Chinese, Hebrew, Islamic.
So, manipulating dates involves one or more calendars, manipulating times requires more than HH:MM:SS.
Well, I hope you've got enough now to think about dates and times, so it's up to you to evaluate this GOTD.

I manage several dozen prescriptions for multiple people (long term care facility), and as part of that we write the next refill date on the top of each bottle. While 30 day scripts are easy enough to calculate, 45, 60, and 90 day scripts are more problematic. This piece of software completely erases that difficulty. Very handy, and a keeper. Thanks to GOTD and TriSun Software.
