I purchased this program a few weeks ago and it works fine but . . . I can'
t find any directions about downloading videos from password protected sites. I have subscriptions to Lynda and Udemy but can't figure out how to use Allasoft to download videos even though I can access the site using my legitimate passwords. Is this covered in the Help file?

Got to know it several days ago and test it with the free trial version and it is really easy to use. Simply copy and paste the video or music link to Allavsoft and click Download button. Then it will download all my desired files to my computer.
Have contacted the Allavsoft support to ask for discount coupon code, and they offered with 30% off discount coupon. However it is still very expensive for me to buy the lifetime license. Then they told me they will hold the giveaway promotion today and also provide the maximum 70% off discount coupon code for lifetime update license to celebrate Thanksgiving Day.
It is really great and exciting.

I had this program for a while, since it´s actually capable of downloading media files which are difficult to download using many other popular downloaders.

However, I stopped using altogether due to its unbearable interface, so dumbed down that forces you to choose solely between Best/Normal/Worst, regardless if the file in question has 7 different qualities, without even letting you know which one corresponds to their three.

A 10 yo version of any of the many popular downloaders out there has a literally better interface than this software, particularly if you do not need the convert functionality.

I have the paid version. It is great at downloading files but I find rather too frequently the screen recorder function crashes before being able to save a recording. Which can be annoying when I have waited 20 minutes or an hour of screen recording time to find out I have lost having it. Often it does work perfectly but there are a lot of times it hasn't.

Unsure what causes the issue of a screen recording to cause a crash when stopping a recording to save or just to stop anyway to then be able to change a setting.
