What on Earth causes you people to give this software a thumbs down in the first 3 min? Give it a try first! This has been given away here a few times now and I have been using it since the first time. I even bought the extension pack that was offered as a discount to gotd followers.
It would be nice if desktop paints would tell us what improvements have been made to this new version, so that we can have a look at it and give you our opinion.

@ papin
First, personally, I always thumb down people who cannot read. This giveaway is NOT a screensaver.
Second… my god… “Science”, “Conscience”, “Ruin”, “Soul”??!!! and in bold font!!! :)) Do you quite understand the real meaning of these concepts? The A bomb??? This is definitely something the GOTD people had in mind when they installed their rating system!! :))) Are you sure you are not overreacting a bit? It is only a little animation, you know, something for kids to develop their creativity, for adults to enjoy their pictures, no need to call this poor Rabelais and the atomic bomb to your rescue… Since you seem to appreciate French thinkers, I have this for you: Culture is like marmalade, the less you’ve got, the more you spread it.
Third, I have already written here

what I think of stupid pedantic killjoy rants like yours… if you pardon my French.

If you made screensavers with Desktop Paints’ other program Animated Screensaver Maker (a recent giveaway) and saved them in DP proprietary format (.asw), you can enter them in AWM and turn them into animated wallpapers.* If you added many animations to a screensaver though, it could be wise to delete some of them for the animated wallpaper to limit the load on your graphics card, as you are supposed to work on you PC while it is playing. (Also recommended: set the execution priority to “low” in settings).
*The same is true for projects made with DP Animation Maker, also once offered here. The three programs are compatible.
@ Paul: on the recent Animated Screensaver Maker giveaway page, end of post 2, I listed some of the improvements since previous giveaway. It is the same improvements for AWM.

Check out the DP add-on deal with the lifetime license for $8 for GOTD customers!
I had this one already and when I purchased the DP add-ons/Screensaver deal it added them to both the screensaver maker, and the wallpaper maker. So if you have the other deal installed already, spending $8 and getting a big upgrade is a no brainer. For $10 each there is an extra animal pack, and an underwater pack. It's not as good of a deal, and I have plenty already with the regular $8 add-on stuff, but the meerkat animation makes it tempting :)
If you are not ready to invest $8 on these programs for add-ons, no problem! Did you know you can add gifs of your own? I like the big library to choose from, but you can go out on the internet, and get the animated gifs you need, or make them yourself, and this program will let you add them into the picture - just make sure you get gifs with clear backgrounds.
Makes this a great freebie with infinite possibilities. Just download it ;)
I also suggest checking out the tutorials to help get up to speed on how to be more effective in adding animations. I'd like this company provide more instructional stuff - it takes awhile to get the hang of it.
I had a few issues last time, and the support at DesktopPaints/AnimationSoftware7 was there to make my experience right.
It would be nice if they had accounts for their customers of awallpapermill/AnimationSoftware7/DesktopPaints since they seem to be affiliated. The combined sites offer lots of stuff, and being able to have your purchases stored on account makes me more likely to make multiple purchases from the same provider.
Thanks again for another fun program, DP!

#20 Software Babe. I understand that some people don't like screensavers, animated wallpapers and anything that goes with them. What I don't understand is why they always have to tell the rest of us why they don't like them. And bully for you that you can afford a test computer, there's a lot of people who can't even afford to replace the only one they have.
By the way, on most internet forums typing in capitals is considered as shouting, and once you start shouting, you've lost the argument.
