Finally installed on Win 10 no problems. Right off the bat, I can't drag and drop folder onto it, I'm not running it as Admin.
I tried to resize 482 pictures to default size 1280x1024 with all default options,
it took 00:01:10, and during this operation it was hitting CPU to about 90+ % .
Then i tried to resize the same amount of pictures to the same 1280x1024 dimensions with freeware program ImBatch and it took 00:01:35 while it wasn't hitting CPU that hard.
So Batch Picture Resizer is actually quite fast but there are free alternatives out there.

Yes there is, the always free Irfanview has a very well implimented advanced bulk resize/crop tool built in with the ability to apply a selected set of filters too, why buy an expensive $39.99 one trick pony when you can get a multi-functional set of tools for nothing!

I have installed it on Windows XP sp3 and it runs fine for me. I normally use MS Office Picture Manager for this task, as it has a number of options for exporting single or batches of images while modifying the size, names or types as required. This program offers these options plus a number more, such as smart cropping, the number of dpi and jpg quality and even watermarking. It has simple renaming, but only adding a prefix or suffix and changing the case: MSOPM is better here, with options like sequential numbering. The interface is simple, with some more arcane options tucked away.

McGregor, not to mention it also excludes Vista too in the so called system requirements... the marketing people at these companies need to be fired, System requirements IS NOT MEANT TO BE A MARKETING TOOL BUT A FACTUAL INFORMATION SOURCE!
