Nice little program to have but remember....despite any promises which may be made....data is nor erased permanently .....with the right deep scan recovery programs most data can still be recovered from drives where this type of program are used......the only truly safe way to erase data for good is to destroy the drive completely

PaulW, where oh where did you get your information? "deep scan recovery programs" ONLY read the sectors using the drives own firmware and read circuitry which CANNOT resolve previously overwritten in fact it is designed to reject any residual traces of previously overwritten data!
It was hypothesised decades ago that previously overwritten data might possibly be recovered using lab based techniques (too lengthy to describe here) but to this date it has never been reported to have been done even on simple MFM recorded hard drives let alone using modern perpendicular recording techniques. The correct statement is the only QUICK ways to render data unrecoverable is to physically destroy the disk drive platters using mechanical shredder and high temperature OR a powerful bulk degauser.

it has no Right-click context menu icon, no drag and drop every time you have to open the it to do the job done<, BAD. otherwise all software has the same shredding principle and option

Thanks. I wonder how do they handle SSD, where writing is mapped to a different location every time?
