I am really confused. What is this giveaway meant to be?
Says on this page, it is Epubor eBook Converter 2.0.5 costing $39.98. But on the developers own website, it says eBook Converter 2.0.5 costing $19.99. Obvious from that pricing is that today's "converter" is not in the same league as Epubor Ultimate eBook Converter 3.0.10 costing $24.99 and given away here in June this year.
That "Ultimate" version removed DRM. (If it didn't, be no point in having it.) But this cheaper version today does NOT remove DRM. So why is the developer even bothering with it? And why should I?

This is expensive when compared to Calibre (https://calibre-ebook.com) which is very good and FREE.

From their page: "eBooks with DRM protection cannot be converted." - so which ebooks would be processable/convertible than? Anything from amazon, or almost nothing from amazon? I'm asking since some ebooks from amazon would have been of interest to me, but I never bought them, not liking the amazon ebook readers. So I suppose this thing will not help, or does it?

Probably a good bit of software but as it doesn't remove the DRM from Kindle books I can't use it.

Just curious: what is the advantage of this sw compared to free (and more versatile) Calibre?
