Hi Fellow GAOTD reviewers. I would like to raise something that has been a concern for a while. The publishers of the Software offers on GOATD provide us with software (sometimes for life, other times for a period only). The fact is that we have full functionality of a commercial product at no cost. I enjoy the freeware recommendations and find them very valuable as well. My understanding is that the publishers require the software to be assessed and evaluated. Additionally, improvements should be recommended that would provide the software with a better bang-for-buck ratio. Many times I see software thumbed down because the reviewer does require the software or it see it as necessary. Something like: simplify the registration process, change the color scheme, add the ability to export to...., etc. Please let us keep in mind the offer as well as the value proposal to the publishers to use a site like GAOTD. I write this piece because I also dabble in programming from time to time and appreciate criticism that would enable me to improve and maybe even distinct my software. Please note: this is not written because of any specific review or comment that has been made, nor is it directed at anyone in particular. It is just something I felt that should be mentioned. It might also be that my understanding for the whole GAOTD concept is flawed. Just my 5 cents worth. Have a great weekend. Ciao

Currently $19.95 on the developer's website for a lifetime license -- kudos to Icecream Apps for not joining in the prevalent "recurring license" software con -- this "Pro" version differs from Icecream's always-free version by removing the 40-page limit per split and three file limit per merge restrictions.
Worth downloading and testing then by anyone who needs to manage their PDFs; the fact that there are two versions means that even if you need to re-install at a future date, you at least have the option to go for Icecream's free rather than Pro offering. That said, however:
This developer and this software continue to be up against some serious, longstanding freeware competition in the form of PlotSoft's entirely free PDF management suite:
PDFill Free PDF Tools has no usage restrictions and no merge / split limitations. Gloriously old-fashioned in eschewing any pretence to a jazzed-up GUI, it sets out all user options on one screen and lets you click on your preferred choice -- simple, fast, effective. Welcome back, Win98.
I've used PDFill Free PDF Tools for years in tandem with Bullzip freeware PDF printer (creator) and in my own experience nothing has so far come along to beat this always-free combination. Ghostscript is needed for both to function, but that's hardly an imposition.
Thanks then, Icecream Apps and GOTD for today's offer, but I'll pass; for my own needs -- and everyone's will be different -- there really isn't much in this PRO version than is offered for free by PDFill.

I love PDF tools, and when they become available, I want to try them out. My complaint is that I am looking for a PDF tool that will allow me to take pieces of a page, and move them to another page. Moving full pages isn't that useful to me, when I am trying to create documents. Is there anyone that knows of a PDF tool that can allow me to cut sections of a page and paste them to another document? It would be much easier than retyping a whole paragraph, and being able to copy or cut pictures from one document to put them in another would be a huge help.
