Difficult to see where the developer thinks today's $40 software is going to find any takers. Though there are said to be, at the time of this writing, 9,269 iFotosoft Photo Stitcher licenses available free of charge, Microsoft issues today and every day an unlimited number of free licenses for its own panorama maker.
Originally released back in 2009, Image Composite Editor -- otherwise known as Microsoft ICE -- was developed by the Research Division's Computational Photography Group at Redmond and since that time has had a welter of resources thrown at it in a way that only a super-giant developer can.
As many here know, I'm no fan of Microsoft, neither its corporate ethos nor recent Windows 10 sharp practice. However: Microsoft Research is still run by geeks rather than accountants, and ICE is an astonishingly accomplished product -- and especially since its last update, which transformed it from being pretty darn good to outstanding. Details here:
http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/um/redmond/projects/ice/
(NOTE: there's a great deal of information about the product on that page, including references to Microsoft codecs available for XP compatibility.)
As a giveaway today, iFotoStitcher is a nice New Year's Eve present. Sadly though, nice is not ICE. In the realm of panoramic image making, Microsoft's always-free offering is as adroitly developed, and as seriously talented, as it gets.

Downloaded and installed without problems on Win10(x64). Requested and received registration code which I entered into the program at the startup message which says I have 5 days of trial left.
However, after exiting the program and running it again, registration is lost (I get the trial message again). I can re-enter my registration code which is accepted again, but is lost with next program start.

Another user - yep - won't run, wasted time, worse off than I was before. There've been so many others having problems today, may I suggest we (you) promise (New Year's resolution on the part of iFotosoft?) to figure out and solve the problems(s) and have another attempt at this in a couple weeks? Meanwhile we can all just cool our heels on this, reduce the stress and have a wonderful New Year's Eve? I wish a Happy New Year to all our subscribers and very much to my Chinese friends working at iFotosoft. China's real new year's won't be for a month - (January 27), but they do celebrate ours also, and I wish them the best. Good luck to all, and thank you for your service.

Seemed to install OK however when I run the software nothing seems to happen.
As other have stated Photo Stitcher is shown in Windows Task Manager as a running process however no user interface appears.
Any suggestions?
