None of Bytescout programs are well designed matured commercial programs. They are all demos of their Bytscout SDK product that they license for exorbitant sums of money and since most developers now use open source libraries and SDK's in their products Bytescoute try it on by trying to monitize their SDK proof of concept sample programs with varying levels of development investment so some of these monitized demo programs are dire and some are usable if not well thought out or designed to be user apealing.
All of their giveaways also install the web installer for the bytscout SDK which is normally completely unwanted.

To date I've never been impressed by the software this company churns out, it's crude, poorly designed, unstable and putting it bluntly not worth buying. Today's software was no exception, installed and registered without a hitch, but when run it crashed, even attempted to run in compatibility mode but that made no difference ... Think I'll make a point of avoiding this company in future, everything I tried has either been broken or just garbage.

Downloaded and installed easily on a laptop with Windows 10. Tried the software with 22 photos from the same folder and a music file from another folder. The software crashed 3 of 4 times. Uninstalled.

I downloaded and registered. It registered however when I opened the program a second time it said unregistered.

Only offers WMV and AVI output container formats, best codec I can see it offer is Xvid... BUT when Xvid codec is selected on AVI container the codec settings button launches the Microsoft Video Compressor Version 1.00 now that is a very basic bug that should never happen... no wonder it crashes if it does not properly select the correct codec and configure it properly too! As is usual the GUI is spartan and clinical with no preview of images or transition effects or anything! On procedding to create the slide show it defaults to the users Documents folder and NOT the users Video folder like wow this program is made to create Videos and the developer thinks it appropriate to dump the videos in the users Documents folder heirachy? sheesh! Encoding is single threaded, unable to use multiple CPU or GPU cores... it is VERY slow at encoding It is currently working on building a 1920x1080p Xvid AVI slideshow of 112 misc image files lying around in this accounts pictures folder.. No idea what the encoding parameters are as the GUI does not provide the codecs settings dialog... I'll wait to see what is generated... before posting this. I am expecting it to take over an hour! So far the only good thing I can see in the GUI design is that the GUI does not lock up once encoding/generating starts... but I suspect that is not an intended feature but a side effect of the libraries they used as the GUI lets me change effect/transition and other parameters that logically should no longer be adjustable once slideshow generation starts!
The image list does not support multi-select so one can only remove one image from the list at a time or remove them all... compression level produced by xvid codec suggests it uses codec settings that produce very little compression since a 2min 48 seconds video with no sound track resulted in a 719Mbyte file and took over an hour to generate! It crashed when I tried to generate a 3840x2160p slideshow with significanlty less images.
