Kingsoft Office Suite Professional 2012 was downloaded and installed without errors on my windows 7 home premium x64 desktop computer (intel pentium dual core e5400, 27ghz stock; 1gb nvidia 9500gt video card; 2x2gb ddr2-800 ram; 1tb sata hitachi hdd)
a quick look at developer's website reveals a discrepancy between the size of kingosoft/gaotd offering today, 84.19mb, versus that of kingsoft official website:

as a user of microsoft office 2007 home and student edition (and previously office 2000/xp/2003) and libre office 3.4.4 edition, i can say that the kingsoft/gaotd offering is comparable in usefulness and ease of use.
however, i cannot justify the price of 69.95$ for the pro version when libre office is readily available at no cost and with constant updates versus that of the "costly" kingsoft pro version and kingsoft free version which has no updates as per info on kingsoft website.

Hello everybody,
We are aware of your concerns regarding the size of the Giveaway build and original Kingsoft offering. We've contacted the developer to clear up the details. The difference between the 84.1 MB and 101.9 MB version is that the 101.9 MB has built in VBA function which is the outsource function to Microsoft and is not being offered today.
Sorry for this misunderstanding, we hope the overall quality of the offered product makes it up for you.

I've used Kingsoft, and it's a very good office suite--probably everything you need. But if you miss this giveaway, there's always LibreOffice, which is excellent and always free.

Question : Why does this program invoke ipconfig?
Any software I install on my system gets monitored to know what goes in and out... call me a bit paranoid but hey ID theft is too easy theses days..
As for the actual program looks great but it seems to want to call home quite often.
