Photo Stamp Remover 7.1 was GOTD on December 24, 2014. Here are the old reviews:

Many comments bout this software and Softorbits. So nothing complete new from me.
Softorbits is lazy to update their files. The exe is version 7.2, the "about" shows a version 7.3

This is the quick result of the removed stamp.

Of course it can replace an unwanted object by copying picture information from the adjacent areas. With a simple texture this can work quite well - with a complex texture, especially straight lines (brick stone, architecture, windows, cars, machines...) it will (of course) destroy the image impression.
Works well with landscape, grass, wood, sky...
Uninstalled via reboot. I still do not remove photo stamps from other peoples pictures - and no need to remove photo stamps from my own pictures...
I AM ANGRY: this GOTD apparently deactivated my GOTD of the more comprehensive Photo Retoucher, also by SoftOrbits. So thing twice before installing.
Now that the harm is done, I might as well make an update to my comment and comparison with InPaint and Retouch Pilot posted when a previous version was offered (link given by Karl).
While you only had the choice between "remove" and "quick remove", you have now 3 modes: "inpainting", "texture generation" and "quick remove" (not necessarily worse). There is no rule: just try them to find out which one works best for a specific part of a specific image.
This new version of Photo Stamp Remover, like Photo Retoucher (the one I just lost... did I tell you?) now has a clone stamp, which should allow you to get rid more elegantly of your ungrateful ex (see my previous comment). I say SHOULD because... well, I didn't manage to make it work. Maybe you will have more luck... or skill.
Also, as it seems to be a general case for recent SoftOrbits programs, when fully open, the window doesn't fit well on all screens (at least on mine - 1366x768 - the bottom and right side are cut).
This is all what a quick try has allowed me to notice.
After reading your deactivation story I checked three different SoftOrbits programs on my PC and all three were now trial versions. I don't install limited license anything so to me this is an error on their part. It leaves an unfavorable impression, doesn't it?
To the moderator.. This is on point as it speaks directly to the reliability of the developer you are featuring.
No problems installing and registering in Win7. To activate it, you must visit its website and submit your email address, I don't like this.Intuitive UI, but to be honest this program couldn't meet all its claims. Only the background is clean, the program can work very well, and its clone stamp tool can do nothing in precision repairing.

Is it true that once you install and activate a new SoftOrbits software; it then immediately nullifies all the other SoftOrbits software in your PC and they become TRIAL versions?
SoftOrbits must answer this.
Is it true?
If it is true, then is it a bug in the programming of the installer?
Or is it peculiar only to some users and does not affect other users?
If it is not a bug but is a deliberate company policy then what is the rationale for such a policy?
Of course, SoftOrbits has every right to say "It is company policy - you take it or leave it".
We just want a clarification once and for all.
So that we know what is what.
