If you have the expensive Microsoft Office installed in your machine, or are clever enough know the right tricks to install it without spending big bucks (hint, hint...LOL!!), this GAOTD is a KEEPER, especially for those out there (writers, teachers, webmarketers etc...) who are eager to publish some crucial books or courses for their readers/students/subscibers on their own websites.
Other than that I can't see any other use.
So, as Microsoft Powerpoint user, I give it a THUMBS UP, since it's able to preserve exactly the original text contents, layouts, tables, charts and formatting of the original PDF files, which is exactly what a PDF converter should always do. And above all it gives users the ability to convert their PDF files to PowerPoint in two modes: Partial (any pages of the entire PDF) and Whole!!
Please DO NOT give it a THUMBS DOWN simply because you use OpenOffice!!!

No, LancasterPA, plagiarism is when you claim someone else's work as your own. Ashraf never did that, and he linked diectly to the original article.
How is "Needs Microsoft PowerPoint installed to convert documents" a con when it is a Microsoft PowerPoint Converter Ashraf. I guess all these programs are cons if you don't have a computer either. Thanks for the comments or plagiarism from dottech.org. It would be helpful if you actually used the program and gave an opine. Final Verdict is someone elses opinion.
Tried it, Works with Win 8 x64. Does exactly what it states. I did not find at all the comment, "Output/conversion quality is a hit or miss" but neither did Ashraf. He just copied what someone else said. In my opinion it is a keep and works.

I do not understand when you say there is plagiarism here. Maybe you do not know that dottech.com is hosted by Ashraf himelf So no plagiarism in copying what one said from another website.
@LancasterPA (#4): Plagiarism? That's a serious allegation. Ashraf never claimed to be the author of that review, but he's authored plenty of others on dotTech in the past four years. He used to post reviews directly on this site but I'm guessing he got fed up with the 99% drivel that makes up this comments section these days. I'd trust his (or any dotTech review) over anything I've seen around here. If you want to rag on someone for copying and pasting, look no further than your "king of freebies", Giovanni. If you're looking for a thorough, articulate review of software, including GOTD offers, rather than rants from people who can't figure out how to use a program, dotTech is where you'll find them.
La versión gratuita que ofrecían ayer es pésima. La calidad de la conversión a Power Point es muy deficiente e ilegible y, para colmo, después de instalada , te enteras de que sólo puedes convertir tres páginas. No recomiendo este programa en absoluto,
