Why does it require 1GB disk space?

gpc111, I think the 1 GB of disk space is likely for temporary storage, as this program can create quite large files. I just tried Video to GIF Converter and got a 500-layer output file that took up more than 48 MB. Much more than 48 MB of space would have been used during processing. My security program (Norton 360) told me, while the program was working, that Video to GIF was doing an unusually large amount of disk writing.
