Maybe I'm just having a stupid moment (it's late, I'm tired), but I can't for the life of me figure out what, exactly, this does -- or how it does it. Went to their web site & read: "Most viruses infect computers through USB/Flash drives". Really? Not mine, for darn sure. The only flash drives that come near my computers are my own, and there is nothing on them that hasn't been virus/malware/spyware tested six ways to Sunday. Admission: I haven't downloaded or tested this program, nor have I voted, but if the developer's claims are true -- that the science behind this software revolutionizes virus-fighting and that their methods (their words) "might be an innovation that could set a new trend for the Antivirus Industry" I'd love to know more. REALLY looking forward to the comments on this one & hope someone can enlighten me. Thanks to Snappersoft & GAOTD for letting us try this, and the rest of you for your insights (& my apologies for adding nothing to the discussion but questions).
I so do not recommend this! It just deleted a bunch of my Portable Programs from PortableApps.com and other things like pictures and what not that are clean...
Installed on Windows 7 64 bit, and the program started scanning immediately without giving me the option to start it. It then proceeded to scan and quarentine my Office 2010 program which is legit. It also then quarentined my office 2007 exterprise exe download from Microsoft, and removed programs such as 7zip portable with no way of getting the program back as it seems to just delete the file. On the restart of my PC all my icons were missing, and the USB antivirus flagged itself as part of a virus in it's quarentine....not impressed and I'm a certified IT Technician. Needless to say that once I got my system restored back to working...I would advise using extreme caution when using this program.
WARNING! WARNING! Uninstalled and this program is still on my pc! What have I done? System Restore is next I guess.
To understand how a USB can be protected from viruses, have a look at this alternative product : Panda USB and AutoRun Vaccine.
And did I mention that this one is free ?
Gracias por la info sssssssss
