Zentimo offers a new way to manage your USB & eSATA devices. While it solves many external drive related problems in Windows, it also gives more control and makes working with external drives fun & pleasure. Besides features of USB Safely Remove it gives more informative menu, honest drive speed test, portable apps manager, strong TrueCrypt integration and more, see comparison chart.
To #2:
> Can i ask hom many times per minute is this app poling USB status ?
The program doesn't write anything to the removable drives at all. It only scans for hardware when there are hardware changes.
To #4:
>First question that comes to my mind: If I already use Zentimo, do I need USB Savely Remove instead? (Or would this be a downgrade?)
It us up to you, just compare both programs and decide what you wish: powerful Zentimo or lightweight USB Safely Remove.
To #3, #5, #6: Guys thanks for the nice word!
To #7:
>Free alternative that does more with a learning curve: USBDLM (USB Drive Letter Manager).
Actually USBDLM can only manage drive letters. It doesn't allow to stop or return device or display locking processes.

Hi GOTD'ers!
It's nice to meet you again! Today we are happy to rerun the giveaway for
'USB Safely Remove' 4.7 - a younger brother of Zentimo the program you saw at GOTD
just once month ago (find the differences here).
Note! In order to register 'USB Safely Remove' you
have to request the license key from our web-site:
Request Free 'USB Safely Remove' License,
besides downloading and installing the installer from giveawayoftheday.com.
Some other notes on requesting the license:
The license should arrive immediatelly to your inbox after you requested it,
if it isn’t here please check your “spam” folder of the mail server, add
"support@safelyremove.com" email address and try to
request the license again using the same name.
Also you can try to request the license to your email at a different mail
server. Note that you have to use the same name as in the first request.
If you do the above steps and still cannot receive the license feel free to
write us from our support form.
Please, don't write about it here, if we don't know your email address we

This is a pretty good program IMHO, and well worth installing if you missed the recent "Zentimo" offerring (or if you prefer a simpler option). But note that the two are not compatible (at least running the two simultaneously can cause problems), so you may want to give it a miss if you already have Zentimo... of course you can install both but you'll have to stop one of them running at startup or close one as soon as you log on.
Thumbs up from me, good software but I prefer Zentimo (also from Crystal Rich)

To #11:
> is there any difference between this version of USB Safely Remove 4.7 and the build I have from a recent giveaway (ver 4.7.1.1153)?
No, it's the same version.
To #14:
>You said “The program doesn’t write anything to the removable drives at all. It only scans for hardware when there are hardware changes”.
Note that today we are giving away 'USB Safely Remove', not Zentimo. Zentimo has an additional optional feature "portable settings" that allows to store the device settings on its drive thus allowing you to have the same settings on any computer.
>And I have Zentimo in the start-up but problem is it never starts-up with the windows startup. Any clue as to what the problem may be?
Perhaps you disabled the option "Run on Windows startup" on the General tab. If it's not disabled try to disable and then enable it back.
>So, here’s a suggestion, if possible please remove the compatibility issues as pointed out by WobblyWombat in #6
Actually there's a very little sense of using both of the programs at the same time. But if you still wish to do that just do not use drive letter mangement features (hiding empty card reader drives, fixing drive letters and etc) in USB Safely Remove while use them in Zentimo and they will coexist fine.
To #17:
> Is this version the same one you recently offered (on 08 Aug 11 USB Safely Remove v.4.7.1-1153 was promoted here on GOTD) or is it containing any change/new feature?
It's the same version.
To #20:
>@Igor: Congrats on a great little programs. Not a chance of Zentimo coming back any time soon?
Not sure. But feel free to checkout our specials on purchasing the upgradeable version of Zentimo.
To #22:
>How does this software differ from me using the icon in the task bar, “safely remove devices?”
In short: it's much better and convenient :) For details see the full feature description of USB Safely Remove
To #25:
>But with iobit gamebooster & sd gundam on win 7 x64, it crashes in the first time of windows boot.
Thanks for the report. We will try to check and fix it.
To #26:
>I have noticed that Zentimo does not stop my USB Hard drive. If I hold it in my arms I can still feel spinning. USB safe remover does the job. What is wrong?
Perhaps you disabled the option "Power off the device after device stopping" in the program.
To #29:
>Regarding my earlier question, I now notice that Autoplay for all devices had been switched on, I presume by USB Safely Remove. I have to ask – why?
USB Safely Remove doesn't deal with Autoplay & Autorun settings. Zentimo has ability to switch off\on autorun\autoplay but not USB Safely Remove.
All other commenter: thanks for many thumbs up and nice words! It's motivating :)

The post # 7 of Vulcan Tourist is totally misleading.
USB Drive Letter Manager has *NOTHING* to do with USB Safely Remove.
It would be nice if people would refrain from misinforming others in an attempt to take part in the "freeware suggestions daily contests".
Fantastico software, necesita una versión gratuita y 90% funcional
