I have not much to say. This is a really "old" and well tested program. The development started in 1997. I use it since long time in the portable version - it IS a good replacement for the standard explorer. Feature rich, easy to handle.

Ran setup which installed and registered this program.
For anyone who still uses Microsoft's Explorer today's download is a must as this is a useful file manager.
The ability to have a number of folder views open at the same time makes it so much simpler to transfer and manipulate files.
It is full of features far numerous to mention that allow you to work with files, for example the thumbnails with details is great if you have a lot of images in a folder.
Microsoft seem incapable designing a decent file manager, other people have produced brilliant pieces of software, the grandad of them all being XTree still going under the guise of ZTree, a perfect clone.

If there is anyone still using Microsoft's Explorer then I recommend you get a decent file manager and download today's offering, I'm sure you will not regret it.

Yes! I love this program and am excited to have the latest version.
It is infinitely useful for searching, finding things regular star menu search does not. It colors file names in it's explorer window to make things easier to spot and is my favorite program to use when I need to find invisible folders and files. It uses a tab system so I can have multiple file trees open at once in the same window without a messy clutter like regular Windows explorer. It has so many features I never even need too, it's like Windows Explorer but on steroids.

comes with a user-friendly interface and supports multiple tabs.
similar to Windows Explorer
takes up low system resources
supports keyboard shortcuts
includes a comprehensive help file and has an excellent response time
Better than most file explorers.

Cons
the icons are a bit ugly
doesn't feel as efficient as expect

All in all, it seems that XYplorer comes bundled with all the right functions (and more) for a file manager. And if you stuck with Win8, you can try this one.

I used to use an earlier version of XY Explorer which was great except it kept crashing.
Initial tests with is version suggest it's more stable, Love the tabs and the useful features like being able to grab & paste full path/file names.
Looks a worthwhile upgrade
