Well if you like using gadgets on your PC desktop to keep yourself organized and efficient with your daily routine tasks, this program is a MUST HAVE TOOL, since it enables you to create tons of CUSTOM desktop gadgets and menus with ease and without any programming knowledge.

In fact with this magic tool you can even use an audio file as background music or your own images as icons and honestly don't know any FREE gadget generator out there capable of doing that (so just for once the price is reasonable).

As for the email subscription "problem", there are some people here and elsewhere who still don't know the existence of temporary or disposable email services....simply unbelievable!!

@Charles (#2) Does your email account allow forwarders or even Alias's? If so, just create a temp email for Ashampoo's use and if the junk get's too much, delete the forwarder. Though I just set my account settings to NOT send me daily/weekly mail.

If you can't set a forwarder up, just spamgourmet.com, set a maximum limit to the number of emails you are happy to receive and after that number, all further emails are binned without you ever seeing them.

Asphampoo's generally good stuff, and you should be able to limit the amount of mail they send. Don't let it put you off, it's relatively easy to stop the junk.

Awesome! My son makes funny gadgets with this. He loves this program, and I honestly miss the desktop gadgets that were in in Vista.

Grab this one while you get the chance, I can't remember them ever offering it free, here or elsewhere. It's not complicated, and it's just a fun gadget maker for a home user - don't expect you'll be making anything too complex.

Ashampoo may try to install Ashampoo/Conduit for your search-home page and send you emails, but the email is how I bought this program so cheap before. I don't recall them effecting my browser anymore and I already have this one and love it. They always let you opt out of emails and get rid of Conduit. I honestly don't know what the big deal is when I see the inevitable whining about spam here. I enjoy getting a couple offers from these guys every week.

Unlike some other publishers who promote their software here, Ashampoo does not play any games with registration. Once you get a key code, it is yours to keep. You can reinstall the program any time you need to, and you can transfer it to another computer if the one that you originally installed it on dies.

In other words, they treat GAOTD users the same way they treat paying customers. That's rare, and refreshing.

@2. @Charles. It is realy no problem to stop the spamming: Log in to the account you get and disable all posting. That is respected by ashampoo and works perfect. Since I did so, I never got any single email. ... You have to do it again each time you downloaded new software from Ashampoo. But to get software for free might be worth this effort.
